Stuffed Pepper Soup
Warm up with this fall with a flavorful tribute to stuffed peppers

Ingredients
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 28 oz. can diced tomatoes
- 1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 15 oz. can chicken broth
- 1 lb. ground sirloin
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. dry thyme
- 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1 cup dry rice
Directions
Brown and drain ground beef
In soup pot, saute bell pepper and medium onion in olive oil.
Add tomatoes, chicken broth, ground beef, and spices. Bring to a simmer for 45 minutes.
While soup is simmering, cook the rice and set aside.
Add rice to soup and heat through.
Base your rating and feedback upon the recipe as given. Don't tell a long-winded yarn about how you substituted Greek yogurt for bacon and alfalfa sprouts for hot sauce, but the recipe mysteriously turned out horrible.
